Issue

The link app and Dash no longer seem to sync properly. 

Explanation

The link app uses your phone's bluetooth radio to communicate with the Dash. As a security measure, the Dash requires a "Bonded connection" which you can find more information about here. Therefore there is more to the connection than some devices. This article will walk you through the steps to try before creating a support ticket.

Before troubleshooting

  • Make sure bluetooth is on from your Android or iOS bluetooth settings menus (native to the phone, no association with the Link App)
  • Restart the dash and the phone's bluetooth connection and try again to see if the problem is resolved

Troubleshooting

The process is slightly different for Android and iOS, please use the correct section below depending on your device.

Android

  1. In the Link App, open the Device manager from the main menu, select the Dash from the My devices list, and at the bottom of the main menu for that Dash select Unpair Dash at the bottom of the page in the Manage section:
  2. In the Android phone, go to the Bluetooth Connected Devices Menu:
    1. Select the Settings icon for the Dash computer:
    2. Select the Forget icon:
    3. Confirm selection:
  3. On your Dash, go to Main menu > Dash settings > Phone > Clear paired phones:
  4. Use the link app to pair to the dash again, this should resolve the issues with sync, if not, please contact support@stagescycling.com 

iOS

  1. In the Link App, open the Device manager from the main menu, select the Dash from the My devices list, and at the bottom of the main menu for that Dash select Unpair Dash at the bottom of the page in the Manage section:
  2. In the iOS phone, go to the Bluetooth Settings:
    1. Select the Info icon for the Dash computer:
    2. Select Forget This Device:
    3. Confirm selection:
  3. On your Dash, go to Main menu > Dash settings > Phone > Clear paired phones:
  4. Use the link app to pair to the dash again, this should resolve the issues with sync, if not, please contact support@stagescycling.com
